Morayfield State High School is a dynamic, growing and ambitious school where we seek to gain the best educational, vocational and social outcomes for our students. We provide high quality education that is relevant to the needs of individual students, provide multiple pathways to engage our learners and are focused on building a culture of success.

Prospective students can make an application for enrolment at Morayfield State High School under the following categories:

Inside Catchment Area:

The prospective student's principal place of residence is within the defined local catchment area. Search your residential address via the interactive Department of Education EdMap

To be eligible for Inside Catchment enrolment, parents/carers who seek to enrol their student at the school will need to fully demonstrate that the student's principal place of residence is genuinely within the defined catchment area. Current proof of residency at the address indicated must be provided upon application.

Outside Catchment Area:

Applications are reviewed and accepted at the discretion of the Enrolment Panel, taking into consideration the current enrolment numbers, projected future growth and legislative/policy requirements of the Department of Education.

Because of enrolment capacity and growth, Morayfield State High School may be unable to meet its obligation in the future unless action is taken to manage enrolments. The Principal must restrict the enrolment of Outside Catchment students to ensure Inside Catchment students can enrol at their local state school without requiring additional facilities. Parents/carers considering enrolling their child as an Outside Catchment enrolment must understand that placing an application does not guarantee confirmation of a place.

Decision on Enrolment:

The Principal is responsible for all decisions regarding enrolments and may request additional documentation and conduct other enquiries deemed necessary to satisfy eligibility criteria in relation to individual students.

Where the Principal forms a preliminary view that an application will not satisfy the conditions of enrolment, applicants will be notified in writing. The applicant may respond to the Principal by making a submission, no later than seven days after receiving notification.

If no submission is received, the Principal's preliminary view will be treated as the final decision and no further notice will be provided.

If a submission is received, the Principal will consider the submission and make a final decision. A final decision will be provided to the applicant in writing, as soon as is practical.

The Principal is responsible for determining whether a student is entitled to be enrolled at the school on the basis of the requirements outlined under the Enrolment Management Plan and within the enrolment capacity of the school. There is no internal review of the Principal's decision.
